Headboard Assembly Guide

-
Locate all of your pieces
-
1 Large Wood Headboard
-
2 Floating Nightstands
-
1 Headboard Hardware Bag
-
-
Position the headboard up against the wall you want it to go against. Have a friend hold it for extra safety.
-
Slide the nightstands down onto the French Cleat. They should feel fairly secure.
-
For extra security on the nightstands, apply 2 screws at 2.5" each into the backs of the headboard. There are pre-drilled holes which will tighten the nightstands against the headboard. Do not over tighten

The Bed Frame
Step 1:
- Begin by clearing a large area to do the assembly in. (You’ll need the space.)
Step 2:
- Locate all 2 side rails and 1 front rail.
- Each is marked in the joint with an "L" or "R". If you are standing at the foot of the bed and looking at the headboard, L marks the left side and R marks the right side. Layout the Left side rail on the left and the Right side rail on the right.

Step 3:
Gather your slats. Find the one marked #1 and your last one. (Your last slat is typically #7 for King/Queen and #8 for a Cali King bed, but do check.) Install slat #1 and your last slat. The slat marked #1 should go right up against the edge of the footboard and your last slat should go right up against the back (there are black lines to help you line them up with the pre-drilled holes). Install slat #7 using 1.25” screws to install into the pre-drilled holes. Note: Slat #1 doesn't get screwed down because it sits atop the boulders.
- Assemble center support beam by attaching 2x4 legs to it using the 2.5” screws provided. If center support beam legs are already attached, move on to next step.
- Install center support beam by sliding it underneath the two slats already installed. Position it down the center of the bed, and attach it to the slats. Use 2 of the 2.5” screws provided (1 at each end using the pre-drilled holes).
