The Century/Post Live Edge Bed Guide
Tools you will need:
-
Wrench (socket wrench preferred)
- A friend (highly recommended)
Step 1:
- Begin by clearing a large area to do the assembly in. (You’ll need the space.)
Step 2:
- Place the headboard against the wall where you would like the bed to be. Consider having a friend hold it in place for you to avoid tipping.
- Gently lay the footboard down where you would like it to go in the room.
- Gently lay the side rails in between the footboard and the headboard.
Step 3:
- Lift up the footboard and slide 1 side rail (not both) onto the footboard leg bolts. Slightly loosen the footboard leg bolts if the side rail won't slide down. (Note: the side rail must be oriented with the numbers facing upwards. If they are not facing upwards, spin the side rail around and attach it again).
- Now attach this exact same side rail to the headboard by sliding it onto the headboard leg bolts. (Note: it is especially helpful to have a friend help with this part, so as to make sure the headboard does not tip over during assembly.)
- Repeat all of step 3 to attach the other side rail to the footboard and headboard.
- Once both side rails have been slid into place, tighten the bolts securely with the wrench.
Step 4:
- Gather your slats. Slide them down into the metal brackets.
- Gather the slat supports (if not already attached) and hand screw them into the slats.
- Lay down the plywood sheets on top of the slat base.
